At Compliq, we always strive to deliver the highest performance and most reliable computing solutions. We would like to inform customers about an important update regarding Intel Generation 13 and 14 processors, which may exhibit stability issues in certain specific performance configurations.
Recently, we have identified that a small percentage of our delivered PCs have suffered from stability issues. These problems have arisen in connection with the use of the default settings in the motherboards of our partners. Important to note is that Compliq does not use overclocking of processors in the standard shipments. We have spent significant time understanding these problems more deeply and our conclusion aligns with the experiences of other leading computer builders.
Solution and Update
Several motherboard manufacturers, including Asus and MSI, have been working on updating BIOS settings to address these stability issues. A new configuration, named “Intel Baseline Profile”, has been introduced. We therefore urge all customers experiencing stability issues with their computers to update their BIOS settings according to the new configuration. It is important to carefully read the associated documentation in order to properly configure the system after the update.
Performance and Consequences
This BIOS update will result in an adjustment to the performance of the processor. Although the performance change is marginal, it is essential to emphasize that the primary intention of the update is to improve the stability of the system. Through this adjustment, the risk of stability problems is reduced.
